This is an announcement for media representatives who wish to cover TGS2026.
Press registration
We plan to begin accepting applications for press invitations in early August.
- All press members wishing to cover the TGS event must apply for coverage using the press invitation sent by the PR office. Press invitations will be sent to registered media outlets.
- Prior press registration is required to receive a press invitation.
- Press members without prior registration will not be admitted. We kindly request that all media representatives wishing to cover the event complete their registration in advance.

Media Coverage Regulations
Press registration and press release distribution for TOKYO GAME SHOW 2026 will be limited to those who meet one of the following criteria (1-6).
- Editors, reporters, and photographers at newspaper and publishing companies that have obtained third-class mail authorization and publish periodicals.
- Editors, reporters, and photographers for news or information websites created by corporations.
- Television production companies, reporters, and camera crews, including those involved with BS, CS, and cable television.
- Radio program production company, reporter, staff
- Writers and photographers who have a contract for reporting services with the above-mentioned editing and production companies or editorial departments.
- Models and performers involved in interviews and program production.
- We reserve the right to decline press registrations from advertising agencies, newspaper/publishing companies, television/radio station business/advertising sales departments, PR companies, research companies/securities analysts, and those who distribute/post on social media or video channels, after reviewing their application.
- Freelance writers and photographers should specify the publication they will be writing for and include the publication name in their application.
- If the secretariat determines that the interview requirements are not met, we reserve the right to refuse your registration for the interview or the distribution of your press release.
- Those who distribute or post content on social media or video channels and meet the conditions set by TGS can register as influencers (a fee may apply). The conditions for influencer registration and the start date will be announced on the official website in the future.
Notes regarding attendance, coverage, and photography
Photography and videography are permitted within the venue, but if any individuals appear in the footage or videos, please be sure to obtain their permission or take appropriate measures to ensure their identities are not revealed.
Furthermore, regarding interviews, photography, and live streaming at exhibitor booths, please follow the rules set by each exhibitor and the instructions of the TOKYO GAME SHOW Secretariat.
Regarding Permitted Hours for Interviews and Photography
Interviews and photography activities are, in principle, limited to the operating hours of the TOKYO GAME SHOW. Please leave the venue promptly after the closing time. Unless specifically permitted by the Tokyo Game Show Secretariat, you may not linger inside the venue, wander around the venue, or conduct interviews or photography activities outside of the operating hours.
Regarding coverage and photography outside of exhibition hours
As a general rule, activities such as setup and dismantling, equipment adjustments, rehearsals, internal meetings, morning and evening assemblies, and other similar activities by exhibitors are not subject to coverage or photography. Photography, recording, distribution, and social media posting of these activities without prior permission from the TOKYO GAME SHOWSecretariat or the exhibitor in question are prohibited.
Handling of Unreleased and Confidential Information
Please refrain from photographing, recording, or publishing any content that may contain confidential information of exhibitors, including unreleased products, content under development, business documents, PC screens, monitor displays, conversations among staff, and other such content, even outside of exhibition hours.
Regarding requests from organizers and exhibitors
If the TOKYO GAME SHOW organizing committee or exhibitors request that you cease filming, move, leave, or otherwise comply with any other requests regarding interviews and photography, please do so promptly.
If you violate the above rules or fail to follow the instructions of the TOKYO GAME SHOW Organizing Committee, the Organizing Committee reserves the right to suspend your press privileges, confiscate your press badge, ask you to leave the venue, or refuse your press registration for future TOKYO GAME SHOW.

Media representatives who do not know their login information for the Download Center should contact the TOKYO GAME SHOW PR Office by email. Please include
information that demonstrates you meet the press requirements, such as the name of your affiliated media outlet and your position.
We will review your information and then provide you with the login details.
