"TGS Forum 2004," a conference for business professionals in the computer entertainment industry, will be held on the first day of the show, September 24 (Fri.). The conference sessions will focus on the latest game industry trends in business and technology. For overseas game industry participants, "CEDEC Premium," will be held with simultaneous Japanese-English interpretation.
"CEDEC Premium" is a developers session to be held in conjunction with CEDEC, the Japanese game industry's largest developers conference, organized by CESA. The session's theme is " Game Design sought for New-Generation Games." Lectures by Mr. Greg Coomer, one of the founders of Valve Corporation and "Half-Life2" chief product designer, and Mr. Hiroyuki Kobayashi, Resident Evil 4 (biohazard4) producer of Capcom, will be offered in cooperation with the non-profit International Game Developers Association (IGDA). A panel discussion by these two lecturers will be also held to clarify the future of storytelling in games under rapid development in 3D rendering technology.
Overseas participants may attend the "CEDEC Premium" for special price 7,000 yen (regular advance ticket: 8,000 yen)
