Period: September 26, (Fri.) - 28 (Sun.),
2003
Venue: Nippon Convention Center (Makuhari

The Computer Entertainment Supplier's
Association (CESA, chairman: Kenzo Tsujimoto,
location: Nishi-Shimbashi, Minato-ku,
Tokyo) and Nikkei Business Publications,
Inc. (president: Yukoh Kawamura, location:
Hirakawa-cho, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo) announces
the scheduling of TOKYO GAME SHOW 2003,
to be held at Nippon Convention Center
(Makuhari Messe at Mihama-ku, Chiba-city)
from September 26 (Fri.) through 28 (Sun.).
This will be the 13th TOKYO GAME SHOW
since it was first held in 1996. As part
of our mission to become the world's largest
event in the computer entertainment industry,
the TOKYO GAME SHOW has been held once
annually since last year. The last TOKYO
GAME SHOW 2002 was the first to be co-organized
with Nikkei Business Publications, Inc.,
one of Japan's largest publishing companies,
providing cutting edge information on
business and technology. We have successfully
expanded the Trade and Press day, widened
the range of visitors, and reached a record
high number of overseas exhibitors from
Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, France,
etc. Both the number of visitors and the
number of exhibitors exceeded the record
held by the previous show (Autumn 2001).
CESA and Nikkei Business Publications,
Inc. will once again co-organize this
year's show, setting a target of 150,000
visitors, 100 exhibitors, and 1500 booth
units. To adapt to changes in our environment,
such as the globalization of the videogame
market, the growing popularity of online
games, the fusion of videogames with other
entertainment, including animation, movies,
music, and sports, and to play a role
in further developing the computer entertainment
industry, we aim to Enhance the Trade
& Press Day for entertainment industry
participants, creators, developers, distributors,
and investors, with the co-organized TGS
Forum seminar remaining as the core.
CESA and Nikkei Business Publications,
Inc. will work together to further strengthen
TOKYO GAME SHOW's established role as
a premier event for providing the latest
information on computer entertainment
and providing excitement and dreams for
people around the world. Please look forward
to TOKYO GAME SHOW 2003.
